Office keeps asking me to sign in / “Authentication Expired” error:
Office keeps asking you to sign in or it may throw an error authentication expired. This usually happens when you change your password recently and on an existing program it was not updated. You should ideally re-login when it prompts you this error message and opens a login window.
Solution for Authentication Error:
Authentication expired error may also appear if your system time is incorrect or the local region is set on a wrong location. Because there are chances that your account is sensitive and it may be using your home location by default. If you change your location or travelling out, sensitive authentication policies on your account shows up this error message. You need to make sure your account has other reset options like a secondary email address. And your phone number set properly.
You can also try to reset your password and once it is change successfully. You can try to sign in to your program and it should activate by default.
If an office program keeps asking you to sign in again and again even after you have entered a right password. We advise you to cross check the capitalization and check CAPS lock on your keyboard. There are cases when an user mistakenly ends up entering a wrong password unknowingly.
