You must open Registry Editor. To do this, press the Windows key and R, then type “regedit”. After writing this, press Enter or click the OK button to start the registry editor.

Select all the keys that look like this and then delete them. After removing these keys, close Registry Editor and restart the computer.
Method Three: Check if BITS, MSI Installer, Cryptographic and Windows Update Services are running
Press the Windows key and R. Then, type services.msc. After the Services window starts, look for the following services: BITS, MSI Installer, Cryptographic and Windows Update Services. When you find these services, make sure they are operational. If one or more of these services are not running, make sure they are started. To do this, select the service and then click Start the service.
Method Four: Troubleshoot Windows Update
Press the Windows key plus W and then type “troubleshooting.” Select Troubleshooting. In the upper left corner, select View all. Click on Windows Update to troubleshoot. After this, follow the instructions on the screen to run the troubleshooter. After the troubleshooter has run, the problem should be fixed.
